[image] The Walkmen hit Fox 5 in New York to promote their new album, " You & Me ", on Monday and the results were awkward with a side order of painful. The anchorwoman engages in a brief interview with Hamilton Leithauser that seems to go one for five minutes too long (even though it s a total of maybe two minutes), before she has an awkward exchange with the band s keyboardist about Paul Shaffer. The band s performance was pretty mellow, but then again the track they played, All in the Water, is a pretty subdued affair. You can watch the clip here. You & Me is out now on Gigantic. Yesterday New York's the Walkmen, on the promo circuit for their fine new record You & Me, stopped by their local Fox affiliate for a little chatter and a performance of the album's "On the Water". The brief pre-song interview isn't quite Sigur Rós-levels of awkward, but there is an element of "same planet, different worlds" happening, which makes for an entertaining but awkward exchange.
